Your vision board goals aren't working and it's not because vision boards don't work. Here are 5 specific reasons why and exactly what to do about each one so your board finally becomes your life.

If your vision board goals have been sitting on a wall collecting dust while your actual life stays exactly the same, I want you to know something before we go any further. It is not because vision boards don’t work. It is because nobody gave you the full picture of what makes them work. And there are usually a few very specific reasons why.

Let’s get into it.

Reason 1: You’ve Only Been Working With 5% Of Your Brain

Here’s the thing nobody in the personal development world wants to talk about because it would put a lot of people out of business. Your conscious mind, the part doing all the positive thinking, habits, and routines, is only responsible for about 5% of your daily experience. Just 5%.

The other 95% is your subconscious and it is running the show based on what it already believes is true about you and your life. So when your vision board goals live only in your conscious mind and never touch your subconscious belief system, significant change isn’t gonna happen in your life.

And this has zero to do with you having enough willpower or discipline. It has everything to do with the part of your brain that is responsible for the reality you live never got the memo.

Everything else on this list is honestly a symptom of this one. When you learn how to work with the 95% everything about how you use your vision board changes.

Reason 2: You Haven’t Been Honest With Yourself About What You Actually Want

This one is uncomfortable and I’m gonna say it anyway because it matters.

A lot of women build their vision board goals around what looks aspirational, what their friends would approve of, what they think they should want at this stage of life, or what seems reasonable given where they are right now. And then they wonder why looking at their board feels a little flat. And this is also why they just set it and forget it. Because if it isn’t what you really want, what is the point?

Getting radically honest about what you actually want, not what you think you should want, is one of the most powerful things you can do for your vision board and for yourself.

Reason 3: You Put The Wrong Things On Your Board

Okay so let’s say you are being honest with yourself. You still need to know how to identify what’s actually ready to be worked with right now. And that’s a whole thing on its own.

There’s a difference between a goal, a vision, and wishful thinking. And your vision board goals need to be living in a very specific zone between those three things for your subconscious to actually work with them. When you scatter your energy across every area of your life or put things on your board that are more wishful thinking than genuine vision, you’re setting yourself up to feel defeated before you even get started.

The 5-Minute Vision Board Fix is exactly what helps you figure out what actually belongs on your board so you aren’t wasting time and energy on the wrong things. It’s free and it takes five minutes.

Reason 4: You’re Waiting For The Board To Do The Work For You

This is the one that’s hardest to hear so I’m gonna say it with love. Your vision board is a tool not a miracle. It does not work by existing. It works when you work with it.

That means doing the internal work underneath the images. The belief work to help that 95% we talked about above. A vision board that just hangs on your wall while you cross your fingers and wait is just a pretty poster. The magic, and I use that word loosely, happens in the intentional daily practice of engaging with what’s on your board.

Nobody is coming with supernatural fairy dust to grant you wishes based on an image. Building the belief to bring it to life is the part you do. Treat it as a tool and it will get the job done.

Reason 5: You Treated It Like A January Tradition

Your vision board goals deserve more than one motivated afternoon a year. And yet most women make their board in January, feel inspired for a few weeks, and then slowly stop engaging with it until December rolls around again.

Your subconscious builds new beliefs through repetition and consistency over time. One January session doesn’t give it enough to work with. Your board needs to be something you return to regularly, something that grows with you, something that reflects where you are right now not where you were eleven months ago.

When you treat your vision board like a living tool instead of a seasonal tradition it finally gets the chance to do what it was always meant to do.

Ready to Live Your Pictures?

Now that you know what to do going forward it is time for you to start living your dreams. Seriously, belief work paired with using a vision board is the ultimate to upgrade your life in the least amount of time.

Because when your brain is on board everything else becomes automatic. Think about it…you had to focus really hard when you learned to drive. Now you’re speeding through rush hour like an Indy 500 driver and not breaking a sweat.

That’s the power of using vision boards the right way. And I’m not gonna make you guess your way through it cuz ma’am you deserve what you want now. That’s exactly why I built the Vision Lab.
