You can use a vision board for manifestation if you work with it in a specific way. This post talks about the perfect zone for vision board manifestation.

Vision board manifestation is everywhere right now. You’ve probably seen people posting their boards, talking about how “it all came true,” and you’re wondering… is this actually real?

Here’s my slightly controversial take: Vision board manifestation absolutely works. But if you’re not careful, you can sabotage it before you even start by choosing the wrong desires to work with.

I know the common advice is “Dream big! Put everything on your board! The universe has no limits!”

And I do believe in thinking big. (I love a good expansion moment 💪🏼… and I want you to have that, too!)

But I also think when people give this advice, they’re sort of sweeping a real issue under the rug… 🤷🏻‍♀️ I said what I said…

Because here’s the catch with putting everything on your vision board:

While dreaming big is good, there’s a fine line between that and overwhelming your nervous system with desires it literally can’t engage with.

And frankly, it can leave your vision board feeling like a fantasy poster instead of a tool or some to-do list of goals you gotta accomplish by a certain time (who needs that pressure).

So, bottom line…

You need to be strategic with what you put on your vision board, ensuring that you’re working with desires that can actually change your reality. 🎯

This isn’t about playing small or limiting yourself; it’s about recognizing that vision board manifestation works best when you understand where your desires actually live and which ones to work with when making your board.

The truth is this is very nuanced… And some of those nuances are different depending on where you’re starting from, what you’ve already experienced, and how your nervous system responds to change.

So… I encourage you to hold space for both expansion and discernment…

✔️ Yes, think big. Know that you can have what you want. Don’t let fear make you play small.

✔️ And yes, ALSO, understand that not all desires are ready to go on your vision board right now. Some need to wait. Some need bridging. And knowing the difference is what makes vision board manifestation actually work.

Making space for both of these truths will allow you to use your vision board in a way that builds real belief while also creating actual results in your life.

Okay… {Steps off soapbox.}

Now let’s get into it… I’m about to show you how to choose desires that make vision board manifestation work instead of leaving you staring at a pretty board wondering why nothing’s changing.

Wait, can choosing the wrong desire really mess up my vision board?

As mentioned above, I have a slightly controversial take on this:

I believe that yes, you can absolutely pick desires that sabotage your vision board before it ever has a chance to work.

And it’s not about limiting yourself. It’s about understanding how belief actually shifts your reality.

Here’s what most people don’t know: You only experience what you BELIEVE. So the pictures aren’t doing the work…your subconscious beliefs are. And because of that your brain sorts desires into three zones.

Just stick with me this is the part where I teach you a lil’ something so you can get max results. I’d be doing you a disservice if I was just trying to hype you up with some false idea that a picture alone can change your life.

The three zones are:

Zone 1: Goal Setting – Already accessible in your current reality. You know the steps. Example: Getting a certification. You just need to do it. These don’t need belief work, they need action.

Zone 2: Manifesting – Feels possible but not yet accessible. You don’t know HOW, but it doesn’t feel like fantasy. This is where vision board manifestation actually works.

Zone 3: Wishful Thinking – Feels like pretend. Fantasy. “That would be cool but I know it won’t.” No belief foundation. Your brain just dismisses it.

Understanding these zones changes everything about how you use your vision board.

Because when you put the wrong desires on your board – Zone 1 stuff that doesn’t need belief work, or Zone 3 stuff your brain won’t engage with – vision board manifestation doesn’t work.

But when you work with Zone 2? That’s when everything shifts.

Let me show you what this looks like in real life…

There are three zones of working with your visions. One is goal-setting, then manifesting, and lastly wishful thinking. The sweet spot is manifesting.

Zone 1: Goal Setting – When You Already Know How

HOW IT WORKS:

Zone 1 desires are things that are already accessible in your current reality. You know the steps and how to get there. You just need to do it.

Example: You want to become a yoga teacher. You know you need:

  • Take the training
  • Get certified
  • Hold classes You know how much it costs.

The only thing you need to do is complete the steps.

That’s a goal. Not a manifestation.

Goals don’t need vision boards. They need to-do lists and follow-through.

And here’s what happens when you put Zone 1 desires on your vision board: Nothing. Because your brain already knows how to get there. It doesn’t need belief work. It needs you to take action.

WHEN YOU’RE IN ZONE 1:

Skip the vision board for this desire. Make a plan. Take the steps. This is action territory, not belief territory.

Note: Inside Vision Lab, I help you quickly identify when you’re in Zone 1 so you’re not wasting time putting goals on your vision board when what you actually need is a calendar and some accountability.

Zone 2: Manifesting – Where Vision Board Manifestation Actually Works

HOW IT WORKS:

Zone 2 is the sweet spot. This is where vision board manifestation does what it’s supposed to do.

Zone 2 desires feel possible but not yet accessible. You don’t know HOW it will happen, but it doesn’t feel like pretend.

Example: You’re making $4k/month and you want to make $10k/month. You don’t know exactly how that will happen but it doesn’t feel impossible. It feels… possible.

This is where belief work matters.

Because in Zone 2, the only thing between you and your desire is belief. Your brain can engage with it. Your nervous system can handle it. And your vision board becomes the tool that builds that belief.

When you work with Zone 2 desires, you’re not forcing. You’re not pretending. You’re building real belief in a way your system can actually integrate.

And that’s when results show up.

WHEN YOU’RE IN ZONE 2:

These desires are what goes on your vision board. This is where you do the belief work so vision board manifestation actually creates change.

Inside Vision Lab, I walk you through identifying your Zone 2 desires using the Clarity Coach. So you’re not guessing. So you’re working with desires that will actually shift your reality.

Zone 3: Wishful Thinking – When It Feels Like Fantasy

HOW IT WORKS:

Zone 3 is where most people accidentally sabotage their vision boards.

Zone 3 desires feel like fantasy. Like pretend. “That would be cool but I know it won’t happen for me.”

Example: You’re making $4k/month and you put $50k/month on your vision board. It feels exciting for about five seconds. Then your brain goes, “Yeah right. That’s not realistic.”

There’s no belief foundation there.

And without a feeling of it being possible as your foundation, the vision board can’t do its job. Your brain just dismisses it. Every time you look at your board, you feel the gap between where you are and where that desire lives. And that gap doesn’t inspire you, it discourages you.

Vision board manifestation doesn’t work in Zone 3. Not because the desire is impossible. But because your nervous system can’t engage with it yet.

WHEN YOU’RE IN ZONE 3:

Don’t put it on your vision board yet. That doesn’t mean you can’t have it. It means it’s not time. You need bridging first.

Inside the Vision Lab we use a method to bridge over to the BIG DESIRE that lives in you while still working within the manifesting zone. Because I’m not about telling you to shrink your desires. But I’m not gonna let you set yourself up for disappoint. I’ll show you exactly how to get there.

Zone 2 is Where Vision Board Manifestation Gets Results

If you remember nothing else, remember this: Vision board manifestation works in Zone 2.

Not Zone 1 (that’s action, not belief work). Not Zone 3 (your brain won’t engage). Zone 2.

When you work with desires that feel possible but not yet accessible, your vision board does what it’s supposed to do. It shifts beliefs and changes what your brain is looking for, creating real results.

The women inside Vision Lab get results faster because they’re not trying to force Zone 3 desires or wasting time on Zone 1 goals. They’re working with Zone 2. Building belief. Watching it show up. Then moving to the next one.

That’s vision board manifestation that actually works.
